One day while we were in Washington we went to the beach, and while driving we saw signs that said Tsunami Evacuation Route. We laughed thinking "When do they ever get tsunamis?" Well, now it's not so funny anymore. They say the death toll is up to 150,000 people. Killed by water! My cousin was there on vacation. The night before there was a wedding in the hotel next to hers. She isn't sure if the people are alive anymore. Imagine inviting your whole family to an important event in your life and possibly losing them all. She saw a car trying to drive away and the water hit it and broke it in half. She was fortunate enough to have grabbed her papers and put a few things into her knapsack and run. She cut her foot because there was glass from broken windows in the water. She called the Canadian Embassy who didn't answer the phone, for whatever reason. She's due back in Japan soon, where she lives. She's not sure if her friends will be there when she gets back. She's having nightmares now about the wave coming at her, and that's how she wakes up in the morning.

Every time I log in here it says I made 133 posts. Shouldn't that number change? Oh well. It's Christmas, but it seems most people don't have the Christmas spirit this year, including myself. We got some snow afterall, but that doesn't help a lot. So watch Christmas movies and play Christmas songs and it helps a bit. We didn't put a tree up this year or decorate, or even wrap presents (thank God for gift bags!) I'm playing videos at work on Launch, but they're continuosly choosing bad songs. And the lady behind me keeps asking me questions. I can get that she's lonely, but I'm enjoying the solitude. What's a good song?!?! So I got very nice presents this year and I hope everyone else out there did too. Have a safe and HAPPY holiday season, however you choose to celebrate it.

I read Cosmo cuz it fills time and there's always something interesting or funny to read. But I hate when they tell people how to think and feel. Like the copy I've got now, when you break up with a guy and you want to sit in a corner by yourself for a couple weeks, it's bad and you should not do that. But on the other end of it, don't be a big socialite, cuz that's escapism. Can't anyone feel the way they want to feel anymore? Who cares if they go to one extreme or the other. I don't get how they judge people's natural reactions and tell them if they're right or wrong. I know they get consults from shrinks, but all the ones I've gone to sucked, so that means nothing to me. But Cosmo is god or something...

I'm not sure I should continue writing here. I don't like the whole world knowing what's going on around me, which lead me to livejournal, which I love and update often. I love being able to limit my audience. I only have to share what I want to share. But who knows.

Going home soon!! I can't wait. It kinda sucks tho how I get home in the early morning one day and I'm supposed to start work the next. I think it's kinda dumb. It's not like we were only gone a week, it'll be 2 months at that time. I'll have to work Mon-Fri, have Sat off, fly Sun and Mon, and work Tues? I dunno. I just don't like it. I asked long ago if we could have the day we get home and the day after off but that's not going to happen. We don't know what our shifts will be so we can't apply for time off. Okay this is turning into a bitchfest of sorts so I'm gonna go. WEEEEEE

Well, yesterday we went to the Pacific Ocean. It actually does look different. The waves are more plentiful. Took some cool pics, and I'll upload them later. I don't have frontpage installed anywhere so the layout of my page will change quite a bit for the new pictures. Everything is going well here. We finally found a dollar store, and it was really nice. I got three scrapbooks for a dollar each and they look awesome. I can't wait to get some pictures developped. I love Wal-Mart and how easy it is to get them printed. I still can't wait to come home. It's going to be really nice to see everyone again. I got tokens this morning for the tanning bed. Yay!! Finally, I tried to get them last week but they were always busy in the office. I don't tan a lot, but I hope to at least not be white as a ghost. Anyway, I should get going to work now, our drive will be here soon.
